WHY WOOD
Nothing compares to the beauty of a wooden floor. Its grain and texture bring a natural warmth to every interior space, from bedrooms to living rooms and from kitchens to hallways.
TYPES OF WOOD
Wood is classified as either soft or hard, depending on the structure and origin of the tree that produced it. Indicatively:
Oak or oak – Oak is European or American and has great value as it is widely used for interior decoration due to its performance and high aesthetics. The structure of oak is well recognized as modern but also traditional, while there is the possibility of a number of different designs. Its shade is blonde honey, it has a very good reaction to contraction - expansion, it is installed as a nailed or glued floor and is divided into: Isoveno (with or without chrysalis), Fardyveno AA (without rosette), Fardyveno AB (with small rosette), Rustic (with large rosette or otherwise traditional floor).
Despotaki or ash - Thanks to its hardness and durability, ash wood is ideal for high-strength applications. The strong contrast between dark wood and light often leads to a vibrant pattern with a rich variety of shades. Ash is relatively hard and acquires a warm golden tone over time.
Walnut – Walnut wood has excellent processing properties thanks to its softer characteristics. Its color varies from light brown to a warm, dark chocolate tone, with a creamy white sapwood. Walnut has a hardness rating of 3.2 and the brown shade can become reddish over time.
Maple – Maple flooring comes from timber in eastern America and Canada. It is particularly resistant to wear and tear as it is one of the hardest types of light wood. Maple has calm and uniform shades and when exposed to sunlight it becomes darker and golden.

Beech – Beech flooring comes from European timber. Beech is hard and durable. Due to its cellular structure, the movements in beech are stronger than in most other types of wood. The uniform appearance and elegant warm yellow tones are characteristic of beech. Its color will change from red to golden tones over time.
Birch – This Scandinavian wood is very light and has a calm tone with a deep reflective shine. It is slightly soft and is not recommended for high-traffic areas. Birch becomes darker and more golden over time.

WOOD FLOOR MAINTENANCE
The feel of a new wooden floor is something you want to keep for as long as possible. The key is to take care of it.
The wooden floor is maintained in excellent condition if we follow some good cleaning and protection habits, which are as follows:
We vacuum the floor (with the brush down) and mop with a damp mop as little as possible.
We always add “special cleaner for wooden surfaces” to the mopping water.
We do not use floor polishes containing wax because this can leave stains on the surface and create problems in future maintenance of the floor.
When we want to remove difficult dirt, we do not rub with a wire that may scratch or dull the varnish layer.
We always try with a soft cloth and a more aggressive cleaner.
We put special protective mats under office chairs that facilitate its movement and protect the floor.
We do not drag furniture on the wooden floor when transporting it from one room to another.
We glue small pieces of felt under the legs of the furniture.
